An Onitsha-based human trafficker was arrested in Lagos last Monday for purchasing a stolen two-year old baby. Police Detectives at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, Lagos, western Nigeria have intensified efforts to recover all the stolen babies allegedly bought by a woman who are in police detention after they were caught in a baby trading deal today in Lagos State Nigeria.
The trafficker Mrs. Grace Onye, 52. Onye told the police that she specialises in the illegal business of buying babies in Lagos for sale to those who required them.

Nelson Mandela: Obama hails 'a life like no other'

US President Barack Obama has paid tribute to Nelson Mandela at a huge memorial service in Johannesburg's FNB stadium.

Mr Obama said the former South African leader, who led the transition from white minority rule in his country, had lived "a life like no other" and "moved billions around the world".

He also praised Mr Mandela's commitment to democracy and willingness to step down from power after just one term.
