OXON HILL, Md. — Prince George's County Fire Department is investigating a deadly fire in Oxon Hill.
Officials were called to the 5500 block of Galloway Drive just before 6:45 p.m. When they arrived crews found a two story home engulfed in flames.
Crews say the fire extended from the basement to the roof of the home. Two people were alerted by the smoke alarm and were able to get out of the home. However, two others died in the fire.

The two victims who passed away in the fire were on the lower level of the home. A neighbor tried to help get them out, but couldn't get passed the heavy smoke billowing from the home.
The two who were able to get out of the home were on the upper level of the home. They manages to escape without injury.
The identities of the victims who died in the fire have not been released at this time.
Prince George's County Fire marshal will conduct an investigation into the cause of the fire.
