The Presidency Monday took on the leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Senator Bola Tinubu, stating that his views on the planned national conference do not represent the position of the Yoruba people.
Also, the presidency gave a vivid account of how it spent over N453.8 billion of the Subsidy Reinvestment Program (Sure-P), explaining that the Federal Government receives only 41 percent of the total Sure-P funds while all the states and local governments receive the remaining 59 percent.

Addressing a press conference to debunk some of the comments against the National Conference, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe maintained that Tinubu’s views were simply private and do not represent the mainstream Yoruba populace.
